Our methodology is based on years of experience and our conviction that the most effective way to learn a language is through enjoyable, up-to-date and stimulating experiences.
Various tools for various levels
Our aim is to help our readers reach a proficient level of reading, understanding and speaking Hebrew. We offer a variety of learning tools in different levels as well as the flexibility to move from one level to another. We also make a deliberate effort to provide engaging articles, relevant dictionaries and fun games and exercises in every issue.
Current events in contemporary Hebrew
We want our readers to know what they are reading about, while learning the most contemporary and widely-used Hebrew. Our articles focus on Israeli and international current events, as well as holidays and Jewish values. We teach proper Hebrew as well as Hebrew slang words, commonly used phrases and even words that have been adopted from other languages.
Learn at your own pace
HebrewToday newspapers provide the flexibility and convenience of studying Hebrew at your own time and your own pace. You can always go back and re-read an article, listen to the audio CD while reading the articles (optional).
Staying connected to Israel
Our newspapers do much more than simply teaching the Hebrew language. While reading the articles, stories and news items, readers learn about life in Israel today, Israeli current events and Israeli and Jewish culture and tradition. What better way is there to stay connected to Israel than to read new and current articles every two weeks in the level you can understand?
A great teaching aid for Hebrew teachers
Many teachers use our newspapers to teach Hebrew both in classes and in private lessons, because they find that we offer an easy and effective way to learn the Hebrew alphabet and grammar. We offer fun and educational exercises and activities that help students review both the content of the stories as well as the Hebrew words. We provide them with new and up-to-date engaging stories and topics for discussions every two weeks.
A dynamic vs. static approach to learning
Our newspapers are written and sent out to subscribers every two weeks. They are always fresh and relevant, as opposed to other static learning books and Hebrew programs, as good as they may be, that quickly become outdated. This approach supports not only the learning but also the on-going preservation the reader’s Hebrew skills.
Something for everyone
Another unique aspect of newspapers is that both kids and adults can enjoy reading the same newspaper. In addition, we know that kids love to spend time on their computers, as do many adults. That’s why we offer both print and online editions to suit all preferences.
In order to reach the specific format and high standard that has proven to be very successful, we have collaborated with many Hebrew teachers and new immigrants that graciously contributed from their professional and personal experience. This helps us make our newspapers and other learning products the valuable products that they are.
Both stand-alone and supportive learning tools
All our publications are effective and independent Hebrew learning tools. While they can also be used to support other learning processes, such as learning Hebrew in class, in private lessons, online or other self-learning methods, our customers report that their Hebrew skills have improved exponentially just by reading our newspapers on a regular basis.
